Hi - My name is Sue Thompson and I have been the Family and Consumer Educator in Elmwood since 1986. I graduated from UW-Stout and later completed my second degree from UW-River Falls in Elementary Education. I currently teach middle school Language Arts and high school classes of Foods I & II, Clothing I & II, Single Living, Child Development, Consumer Economics, Family Living and Healthy Living. I thoroughly enjoy my day as I see a wide variety of students ranging from 6th to 12th grade.
I am also involved with coaching/advising extracurricular activities. Since 1988, I have been involved with the track program; most of those years as head track coach for boys and girls. I am also the FCCLA advisor.
I am married and my husband Steve and I have 2 daughters: Brandi and Brittany. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing competitive volleyball (for 23 years!), riding horse, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
