Hello. My name is Paula Haugle (pronounced "hug - lee"), and I am the PreK-12 School Counselor for the Elmwood School District. My husband and I are originally from Colfax, and moved to Elmwood during the summer of 2007. I have been a member of the Elmwood team since the fall of 2007. Prior to this, I was an intern for Lewiston-Altura Schools in Minnesota. I received my Master of Science degree in School Counseling from Winona State University in the Spring of 2007. Prior to this, I worked in Human Resources for a number of years. I received my Bachelor of Business Administration from UW-Eau Claire. In addition to my role as Counselor, I also serve as the NHS Advisor and the Dance Team Coach. I truly enjoy working with the students, staff and community members of Elmwood and I'm looking forward to many more years together.
The counseling program at Elmwood involves assistance with Academic, Career, and Personal/Social development of students. I facilitate this through Classroom Guidance Lessons, Group Counseling, Individual Counseling, and Referral Services.
