My name is Heather Sand and I am the K-12 Special Education Teacher for the School District of Elmwood. I am originally from Durand. I received my Special Education degree from UW-Stout in 1997. After graduating, I started my teaching career in River Falls at Meyer Middle School teaching the Cognitive Disabled –Severe students. I was in River Falls for 5 years prior to becoming an Elmwood Raider. I have been in Elmwood since 2004 and have thoroughly enjoyed working with all of the students here. This past school year (2007-2008) I had to opportunity to be an assistant track coach for the high school track team.
My husband, Troy, and I have two daughters, Madison and McKinley and we live in the Eau Galle area. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cheering on the Packers and Badgers, running, gardening, and reading.
