Hello! My name is Chris Segerstrom, and I am a middle school teacher at Elmwood as well as the Head Girls Basketball coach. Prior to becoming a teacher at Elmwood, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where I earned a degree in Elementary/Middle School Education with an emphasis in Physics. Growing up on a small dairy farm south of Mondovi, I found great interests in the outdoors as well as sports. I enjoy playing football, golf and basketball as well as hunting and fishing. This is my first year as a teacher in Elmwood. I am excited to learn more about the community and meet all of the people here in Elmwood. The reason I became a teacher was to be a role model for students as well as being someone who they can trust and rely on. My future plans are to become a motivating educator and to help adolescences as they continue on their path into this fast paced world.
